Farmingville Man Charged with DWI After Crash Seriously Injures Passenger In Selden

A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a crash left his passenger seriously injured on Long Island.

Francisco Fernandesdosreis, of Farmingville, was driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee northbound when the vehicle struck two parked cars and overturned in front of 111 College Road in Selden around 5:10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, according to Suffolk County Police.

The passenger, a 70-year-old Farmingville man whose name has not been released pending notification of family, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Fernandesdosreis was uninjured.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and held overnight at the Sixth Precinct.

An arraignment is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15, at First District Court in Central Islip.
